Akira è un film d'animazione del 1988 diretto da Katsuhiro Ōtomo basato sull'omonimo manga del medesimo autore, pur avendo un diverso sviluppo e un diverso finale.
TramaAnno 2019: le grandi metropoli sono state spazzate via dopo la Terza Guerra Mondiale. Tokyo è teatro di scontri tra bande di motociclisti, tra queste di distingue la gang dei giovani Kaneda e Tetsuo. La polizia segreta cerca di mettere un freno alla minaccia per poter continuare lo sviluppo del segretissimo progetto Akira.
