Stuart è un topo che cerca di appagare il proprio bisogno di appartenenza. Così un giorno capita nella casa della famiglia Little in cerca di un po' di affetto. Mamma, papà e figlio lo adottano e ben presto Stuart entra a far parte della famiglia. Finalmente si sente amato e coccolato da tutti. L'unico problema che deve affrontare è la convivenza con Fiocco di Neve, il gatto di casa, che si sente messo in secondo piano.
