


Il dottor Jumba Jookiba è messo sotto processo dalla Federazione Galattica per "sperimentazione genetica illegale", la cui prova è l'Esperimento 626: una creatura aggressiva che è quasi indistruttibile e impara in fretta. Jumba viene imprigionato mentre l'Esperimento 626 deve essere esiliato su un asteroide deserto. Durante il trasporto sulla nave del capitano Gantu, 626 riesce a uscire dalla sua cella e a tagliare la rete elettrica della nave. 626 dirotta un'unità della polizia durante la sua fuga, ma si ritrova in inferiorità numerica e disarmato. Circondato, 626 attiva l'iperguida e passa attraverso la loro difesa, impostando le coordinate a caso e sbarcando infine sul pianeta Terra.
La Presidentessa del Consiglio ordina a Jumba di lavorare con l'agente Pleakley per recuperare 626 discretamente. 626 sopravvive al suo tentativo di fuga verso la Terra, atterrando sull'isola hawaiana di Kauai, ma sviene dopo essere stato investito da un camion di passaggio, e viene portato al canile perché i camionisti credono che sia un cane.
