Un Texas post-atomico fa da scenario alla lotta per la sopravvivenza tra opposte fazioni: da una parte la figlia di uno scienziato con il segreto per una micidiale arma. Dall'altra una banda di predoni del deserto ben intenzionata ad acchiapparla. Inseguimenti e duelli all'ultimo sangue in un contesto polveroso, indefinito e tuttavia chiaramente posticcio. A un certo punto saltano fuori anche dei mercenari che per una volta scelgono di schierarsi dalla parte giusta.
