1943. I Nazisti cambiano improvvisamente il loro codice cifrato: le navi degli Alleati sono così esposte agli attacchi dei sottomarini tedeschi. Per tentare di decifrare il codice viene ingaggiato Jerico, un matematico esperto nel trovare le chiavi di interpretazione dei codici.
