Perso il treno per Parigi, Marc si ritrova solo in una piccola cittadina e così vagando per le strade incontra Sylvie, i due parlano del più e del meno sino all'alba, quando l'uomo prende il treno per rientrare in città; prima di partire i due si danno appuntamento a Parigi qualche giorno dopo.
