Mentre Jahkor, a testa bassa, lotta per mantenere vivo il suo sogno di rappare nella battle di Oakland, la sua vita sfortunata e le responsabilità del mondo reale lo spingono sempre più oltre la linea del giusto e sbagliato andando incontro a tragiche conseguenze. Arrivato nella prigione dove si trova il padre, JD, che non avrebbe mai voluto vedere il figlio tra le sbarre, Jahkor intraprende un viaggio alla scoperta di sé, esplorando gli eventi che lo uniscano al padre.
