"Il lavoro s'avvale della originale trovata di presentare, caricaturalmente costruiti, ben noti personaggi di film dell'orrore, ai quali, per paradosso, vengono attribuiti miti sentimenti e gentilezza d'animo, mentre tenebrosi propositi e sadici istinti contraddistinguono i personaggi di normali fattezze. Anche se non sempre il film riesce a stare in equilibrio sul filo del brio e della felice invenzione, tuttavia risulta nel complesso divertente e ben costruito."
