Quel treno per Yuma è un film del 2007 diretto da James Mangold e si svolge nel 1884 in Arizona. Il leggendario e spietato fuorilegge Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) e la sua banda hanno appena derubato la diligenza che trasportava il libro paga della Southern Pacific Railroads. Dopo la rapina, Wade si separa dal gruppo e si reca a Bisbee per incontrare l'incantevole Emma Nelson (Vinessa Shaw) nel saloon della città.
Dan Evans (Christian Bale) è un contadino in gravi difficoltà economiche per la siccità che ha colpito la zona in cui sorge la sua fattoria. Veterano della Guerra Civile, dove ha perso parte di una gamba, Evans è in viaggio verso Bisbee con i suoi due figli, William e Mark, per chiarire le questioni relative alla vendita della sua terra.
In questa cittadina si incrociano le vite di Wade ed Evans. Accortosi che lo sceriffo di Bisbee ha fatto circondare il saloon dove si trova Wade per arrestarlo, Evans contribuisce alla cattura del fuorilegge, che si arrende senza sparare neanche un colpo.
