

Un film sugli zombie è in lavorazione. Il regista Higurashi non è soddisfatto della resa dell'attrice protagonista, Chinatsu, le cui reazioni di fronte all'attacco di uno zombie gli sembrano troppo finte, non realistiche. L'attore che fa lo zombie, Ko, cerca di confortarla, ma Chinatsu è davvero preoccupata per la situazione. Nao, la truccatrice, spiega ai due che la location in cui si trovano è maledetta: si dice infatti che sia stata usata tempo addietro dall'esercito giapponese per misteriosi esperimenti su cavie umane miranti a riportare in vita i morti. Un membro della troupe viene improvvisamente attaccato da quello che lui crede un attore truccato da zombie, ma è invece uno zombie vero.
