Tyler e Becca, due adolescenti figli di una madre single, vanno in visita dai nonni materni - che non hanno mai conosciuto e che vivono in una casa di campagna isolata. Non ci vuol molto prima che i due scoprano che qualcosa proprio non quadra nelle vite dei nonni, che li avvertono di non uscire dalla loro stanza dopo le nove e mezza di sera. Un avvertimento che i due ragazzi disattendono presto e che avrebbero fatto meglio a seguire.
