Da bambino, Conan (Jason Momoa) ha assistito impotente all’uccisione del padre Corin (Ron Perlman) e alla distruzione del proprio villaggio natale per mano del malvagio Khalar Zym (Stephen Lang), ossessionato dalla ricerca della regina Ilira. Salvatosi miracolosamente e cresciuto tra violenze di ogni tipo, il barbaro non ha mai abbandonato l’idea di vendicare un giorno la morte del genitore e l’occasione giusta per il proposito gli si presenta quando Tamara (Rachel Nichols), damigella di Ilira, chiede il suo aiuto per liberare la regina, imprigionata nel frattempo da Khalar. Insieme proveranno a sconfiggere le forze occulte del nemico, che conta sull’aiuto di orribili mostri e dei sortilegi della figlia Marique (Rose McGowan).
